Long Winter Veil 2012 A prize winner at 2013 Houston International Quilt Festival... Painted Surface. This piece is personal as I live in the mountains where winters cold seems to hang in the air for seemingly much longer than the winter season. There, my winter is long... and it is cold... thus the shape and interpretation of this little snow bunting being stranded in snow as a veil of cold ice blue hangs overhead.
